I was more curious to your strategy than anything. I honestly wasn't asking how can you play as if you are required to hear but I was asking how do you play while being deaf. I guess its because I rely heavily on those audible warnings that gave me such a reaction. I'm sorry you thought my question was stupid. So it's only a matter of the pip-boy beign "in the way"? Gotta try this and see if it works later then Sure, it's a bit of a nasty surpise to be attacked by a deathclaw (or more commonly a bloatfly) from behind because I can't hear it, but no way I'm going to let that stop me from playing an interesting and fun game - I doubt it'd stop you either, if you were unfortunate enough to have deafness strike you at some point in your life :wink_smile: And, of course, keeping an eye on the red spots, though relying soley on them may be a bad idea. It simply means that I've got to try and be a bit more perceptive - for example, when roaming the Metro in Fallout 3, I looked extra closely to try and spot any feral ghouls before they spotted me. For my part, I don't find playing games like these any less fun jsut because I can't hear. How do you do it? I'm being totally serious. I like to hear the sounds of enemies sprinting my way and many many times, without that audible warning they would simply be on top of me and killing me before I knew they were there. Unzip the folder and place them with your other saves.How can you play games like this if you're deaf? I don't mean to be offensive and I'm very sorry if I am but I cannot stand to play with sound off.

All you have to do is walk out the door and into the Mojave wasteland to start your adventure. These saved games load right after Doc Mitchel's introduction and opening character work BS.
